North American free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
In 1994, the US, Canada, and MExico became part of NAFTA. The agreemant aims to reduce of remove tariffs among these three countries, as result trade has increased among these countries. More goods were traded between the US in Mexico in between US in Canada than before NAFTA. Wages for workers are far lower in Mexico than Canada and the US.
World Trade Organization (WTO)
US is a important member of the trade organizations, the most important trade organization is the WTO.

The US belongs to Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation.

The capital of the US is Washington D.C., also the government meets in Washington. The offices are called embassies, the US has a decorative government.
